A couple of weeks ago I was introduced to Kildare Village’s latest campaign, #DayTripToChic. The concept of the campaign is visiting your favourite summer escape, all the while looking chic!  I loved this idea and as I love a challenge as much as I love to style, I jumped at the opportunity to get involved. I’m quite proud to say that I’ve grown up, and still reside, in Connemara which is a really beautiful, and very rural, area. I honestly think there is no better place to escape and unwind than the familiarity of home. And so, every few weeks I ensure I set aside some time to visit my favourite beaches, go for hill walks or walk through a quiet woodland.

The above outfit is a perfect walk-and-lunch Sunday outfit; it’s chic, tailored and practical. Nothing says chic like white and structured sleeveless blazer. These white ripped jeans and brown, block heeled sandals have been two summer staples for me and really reflect the day trip vibe I was aiming for. Backpacks are set to be huge for A/W and I couldn’t be more excited, they are also far more comfortable to wear when walking around for the day.
