Most of you may have already seen this outfit on my social channels (@pennypolaroids) as I wore it to Arnotts Fashion Insider event last week. I honestly adore Arnotts as a luxury department store, they bring us so many exclusive labels which cannot be found anywhere else in Ireland and I also love their Shoe Garden! Needless to say I was very pleased to be invited to the event and it turned out to be such an enjoyable night. The atmosphere was just brilliant and the fashion show took place on the escalators which was such an amazing concept. I had a great night with Ciara O’Doherty and Laura Mullet, Ciara was also kind enough to take the above photos for me.

I had actually been up in Dublin for 8am that morning to preview Kate Moss x Topshop‘s collection in BT2 so I kept my outfit quite casual so that it would suit both a day and night event. I was also invited into LA Creative’s The Bar salon to have a Beautify in 45 treatment before the Arnotts event which is having your hair, makeup and nails done all at the same time in just 45 minutes. This was absolutely perfect for me since I had been up since 5am and in the wind and rain all day! As I had my nails already done from the week before I had lashes applied instead which is an alternative option. I really liked the dewy finish to their foundation and the lashes but most of all I loved the coral/pink lipstick ‘Micro Melon’.

I love wearing monochrome and this outfit is a one I really loved, I was so comfortable in it and it really reflects my personal style. I was lusting after a white sleeveless blazer for a long time and finally found this one on eBay (when all else fails, try eBay). I had a few people ask me on the day where I bought it I told them I’d share the link with them on here as it was an eBay store as opposed to a seller but it is actually sold out since. However I did manage to find three alternatives which I really liked and have linked them above. Be sure to scroll through the feature as I have a few alternatives for the pieces I’m wearing. I picked up these jeans in Penneys last year and ripped them myself but they have become quite faded now so I am looking for a new pair and the pair listed above from Asos seem perfect. I’ve had these peep-toe ankle boots from Penneys for quite awhile also but I recently saw the grey version in store so you may get lucky and find a pair still. I’m a sucker for peep-toe ankle boots, they make an outfit look quite edgy.

Until next time,

nuala
